He has won numerous world titles in three different weight classes; he is a former two-time WBO super bantamweight, WBC, Lineal, & The Ring featherweight, and WBC & IBF super featherweight champion. Barrera ranks # 43 on ESPN's 50 Greatest Boxers Of All Time.

He is the former WBA (Super), IBF, The Ring, & British light welterweight champion, and WBA welterweight champion.
